Is this the cutest purse ever?

A few weeks ago, I did a trade with a gal on Etsy. She has a shop called Polka dot pixie, and she makes the most beautiful purses! I love the one I got. You have got to check out her shop. Here it is:

I can tell she puts a lot of work into making her purses. Mine is really sturdy and roomy! It holds up really well.

Spring Break in Oregon

I was hoping for some spring like weather, but not so much luck! It is raining and cold! I shouldn't be surprised....I guess I will get to work being crafty, making cards, etc. I have made a few cute cards lately. Take a look....

Some recent projects I've been working on.....

I haven't put any pictures of my projects lately, so today I thought I would post something I made recently. I love owls and I thought this was really cute patterned paper. I also love the owl stamp I got at Michael's. I hope you like it! This is for sale at my etsy shop. Let me know what you think....

Homemade Wheat Bread

Yesterday I took the plunge and made homemade bread! It was easy (really). I have always been a bit intimidated by making it, and it wasn't that bad at all. It turned out pretty good. My family was sooooo happy. I got this really good recipe from a friend of mine and I love it! You should try it:

Whole Wheat Bread

4 cups warm water
2/3 C. oil
2/3 C. honey
2 T yeast
Sit 4 minutes
Add: 1 C. powdered milk, 2 C. potato flakes, 1 C. Gluten Flour, 1 C. oatmeal, 2 T. Salt, 2 eggs (you can also add 1 C. flax, or wheat germ
Around 10 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour
Knead for 12 minutes (I did this by hand), Add 2-3 T dough enhancer
Place in Greased bowl with wrap covering dough
Rest 30 minutes (room temp is best)
Shape into loaves, Rest 30 minutes.
Bake 325 degrees for around 30 minutes.
Makes Yummy Bread!!

Happy Monday!

The weather here in Oregon has been soooo weird! One minute it's snowing, and the next minute the sun is out and the snow melts. This is really strange for Oregon. I can't remember a year when it has snowed so much! I am staying inside to enjoy it!

Mourning for Lucy and I love Giveaways!

First I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who has posted and entered the giveaway! This is so fun, I think I will do it every 2 weeks, so keep checking my blog!
Today was a little sad....I went downstairs to exercise this morning and noticed Lucy (one of our guinea pigs) was laying down in a strange way....well she was dead. She probably died of old age, we had her and Ethel (our other guinea pig) 4 years, and we are not sure how old they were when we got them.
Our kids seemed ok with it, but it's strange only having Ethel in the cage alone. I feel sorry for her! Lucy will be buried in our backyard in a homemade coffin and we will plant a flower where she is buried. We will miss you Lucy!
