DIY Vintage Wood Crate

Hi All!

How was your weekend?  I had a very lovely and relaxing weekend.  I watched the LDS General Conference and it was VERY inspiring and uplifting.  Watching it always makes me want to be a better person.  I love how I feel when I watch it.

Is the weather beautiful where you are?  I can't believe the gorgeous weather we have been having here in Oregon!  I am enjoying every minute of it, because any day the rain could start, then it's not so great.

Totally unrelated....my hubby helped me make this cute Apple Crate the other day:

Isn't it just adorable?  I love how it turned out.

I wasn't really sure how it would turn out, so I didn't take pictures until it was done!  You know when you really aren't sure if something is going to work out the way  you hope it will?  I used wood from an old wood pallet that our new bed came on a few months ago!

I may stencil something on the front, and I kinda want to stain it was well.  I would love to hear your opinions!

I love old vintage looking crates and I have always wanted one on my front porch!

Here are some other lovely DIY crates:

These ladies AMAZE me with their DIY talent!  They have so Fabulous tutorials on their blog!  Find this one here.

This DIY crate was made for only $4!!  Can't beat that price.  I love how she white washed it.  Find her tutorial here.

I am lovin' this Yardstick crate from Seven Sisters!  Find the tutorial here.

Here is one of my favorite DIY crates!  Janet at Today's Fabulous Finds has a great tutorial for her Paint Stick Crate.  Check it out here.

Don't these just get you in the mood for FALL?  I am obsessed with them all and want to make about 10 more!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  1. Super cute. I think a dark stain would be fun or even some rope handles.
