Be Thankful Banner Bunting

**** If you would like to guest post on my blog, I would love to have you!  I am looking for Guest bloggers for November and December and there are still openings!  I would be happy to swap as well:)  Shoot me an e-mail if your interested:  kweight@byu.net.

I wanted to share this banner with you last year, but I must have forgotten.  This is one of my favorite banners I have made so far.

I used Bo Bunny's Kitchen Spice paper for this banner.  I love all the Autumn Colors in this paper!  So pretty:)

I didn't write a tutorial for this, because it's so easy and I am sure you could do this blindfolded, but I will tell you what I did!

I used my Cricut to cut out the letters, then cut out 2 different sized of Triangles, glued them together, glued on the letters, punched holes in the sides of the triangles and added some buttons for embellishments.  I strung the triangles with some Autumn ribbon, then Poof!! it's finished.

Doesn't take long at all to make one of these babies.  I love the way it looks with my Autumn blocks, don't you?

Have a great night.  I can't wait to show you my Gratitude wall hanging later this week:)

Thanksgiving Subway Art with Burlap

**** Don't forget to enter the Scrapbook Stash Giveaway!  It ends next Sunday November 28th!  I can't wait to see who wins this huge package of fabulous Scrapbook goodies!  Click on the "Current Giveaway" Link above

I know you have probably seen soooo much Subway Art out in Blog land, but I couldn't resist taking a picture of this one I framed and added some Burlap flowers with buttons!  I think it turned out cute.

I am giving this to a friend tonight.  We are going over there for dinner and I wanted to give her a little gift.  I just bought the frame at the Dollar Tree.  Here is where I got the cool download.  I already had the burlap and buttons laying around!  Here it is:

I hope Andrea likes it!  I think I might have to add some burlap to some of my framed art now.  It gives it a homespun kind of look, don't you think?

Be Thankful Banner made with cardboard!

I have seen so many cute banners out there in blog land!  I decided to try and  create my own.  Here is what I came up with:

Here is a close-up.  I used a Costco sized fruit snack box for the backing!
I cut out the letters with my Cricut machine.  I cut out the cardboard triangles with my hefty paper cutter (not my scrapbook one!)
Don't ya love my fun pumpkins and my "Fall" plaque too?

Have a great Sunday!

Tutorial: Easy Matchbook Paper Pads

Thanks to one of my readers {Poe} for her request to post this tutorial. I was really excited, because I LOVE these cute little paper pads!!  They are so cute and have a variety of fun uses.  Here we go....

First you need:

*scrapbook paper

*printer paper

*paper cutter

*stapler

1.  First you need to cut the Scrapbook paper into 2 x 5 sizes.  You can make about 10 matchbooks with a 12 x 12 piece of paper!  Cool, huh?

2.  Fold the bottom of the matchbook over about 1/2 inch.

3.  Cut your printer paper into about 1 3/4 x 2 inch squares.

4.  Stick about 10 sheets of printer paper cut into the small squares in side the 1/2 inch fold and staple on the inside of the matchbook.  Make sure when you staple you leave some room to tuck the top of the matchbook inside!

5.  Fold the top flap over and tuck it into the stapled fold.  Thats it!!!  Easy Peasy, huh?

These are perfect to tuck in your purse, to write notes on, use as party favors.

My sister-in-law used them at church when she was giving a lesson.  The women she was speaking to could write down notes on them during the lesson...so COOL!

I want to make some cute Thanksgiving ones and put them on the table for each person to write what they are thankful for.  Dinner is at my house this year!  FUN....

My top 5 favorite things about FALL

I absolutely LOVE Fall.  It is my favorite time of year.  Why, you ask?  Well here are my top 5 reasons for loving Fall:

1.  Honeycrisp Apples WITH Caramel - I look forward to every year when I can go buy some of these yummy apples from a nearby farmer.  They are the best,  juiciest apples you will ever eat!

 2.  The leaves changing.  Who doesn't love this?  It is the most breath taking sight I have ever seen!

3.  Orange and White Pumpkins.  I have a thing for white pumpkins.  I think they are the coolest things ever created by God.  I also love lots and lots of Orange ones!

4.  Harvesting my Garden.  I look forward every year to tomatoes from my garden.  They are soooo much better than store bought ones!  I also love corn from my garden.  This year was a little disappointing because our corn didn't come up very well.  It looked yucky!

5.  Thanksgiving!  I love to get together with family and have a feast!  It's so fun to cook for it and eat until I feel like I am going to hurl:)  I also have so much to be thankful for!

I would love to hear your top 5 as well!  I love comments and I read every stinkin' one of them, so please....feel free!
