Feb 14th Valentine Block

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER THE SCRAPBOOK GOODIES GIVEAWAY, PLEASE CLICK HERE.  HURRY!  IT ENDS JANUARY 11TH AT MIDNIGHT.

I was going through my craft room the other day and I came across a block sitting on the ledge that was calling me to do something with it.  I grabbed some Valentine paper, some modge podge, and some ribbon and went to work!

This is what I came up with:
Watcha think?

It took me like 30 minutes or less to make.  I couldn't find my brayer, so the paper has some wrinkles in it, but no biggie.  I am soooo not picky!
I dusted off my Cricut and cut out that cute little heart on the right.

I think I may make a few more and give them to the ladies from church I visit every month.

I am really excited to share my other Valentine craft I have been working on.  Check back in a few days!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Pink and Black Chic Ornament- Tutorial

If you haven't entered the Scrapbook goodies Giveaway, click on "Current Giveaway" above to enter!

A few days ago, I saw some foam balls in my closet that I bought at the Dollar Tree a year or so ago.  I racked my brain for a cute ornament I could make with it.

I wanted to make an ornament that wasn't your traditional Green and Red, sooooo here is what I came up with!

Here's the list of supplies you will need:

-white foam balls (dollar tree!)
-Modge Podge (Michaels, Joanns, hobby lobby)
-fabric (ripped into 3/4 x 5 inches long (I like the ripped look)
-buttons
-ribbon
-glue gun

Sorry I didn't do step by step pictures, but this is such an easy craft.  Who needs pictures, right?

1. Cover the ball with strips of fabric coated with modge podge.  I wasn't real picky about whether the fabric was smoothed down.  I just wrapped it around the ball.  Do this with strips of fabric until you cover the whole ball.

2.  Let dry overnight. This is an important step.  It takes about 8-12 hrs to dry completely.

3.  Glue on coordinating buttons in random places.

4.  Glue a ribbon bow on top, with a coordinating ribbon for the loop.  I glued the loop under the bow.

5.  Your done!  Let it dry completely of course before you hang it on your tree.

I like how it turned out.  I wish I would  have used glossy Modge Podge, but it is still pretty!  Have fun with it!

Gumball Vintage

I found this new shop when I was poking around Etsy one day. I loooove Vintage things and this woman has the most fabulous items in her shop! I think the name is so fun too! Maybe it's the word gumball (I love all the colors!) and Vintage together....I don't know, but this shop is awesome!
She just opened at the end of March, so she is brand spankin' new! If you love vintage and you Scrapbook (even if you don't!) I would recommend checking out her shop. It's so bright and cheerful. Check out the picture. This is an example of what she has in her shop!

Is this the cutest purse ever?

A few weeks ago, I did a trade with a gal on Etsy. She has a shop called Polka dot pixie, and she makes the most beautiful purses! I love the one I got. You have got to check out her shop. Here it is:
www.polkadotpixie.etsy.com
You will be so glad you did! Get a new purse for Spring! I love pink and brown together. When I saw this one, I just had to have it!
I can tell she puts a lot of work into making her purses. Mine is really sturdy and roomy! It holds up really well.
I love when I find shops on Etsy that are worth giving a shout about!
