Pink and Black Sabrina Pennant Wreath

I am calling this my Sabrina Wreath.  Want to know why?  See that cute paper I used for the pennant?  The name is Making Memories- Sabrina.  I am in DEEP love with it.  It makes me very happy!

These wreath's are all over blog land, but I am going to show you how I made it anyways!

Ready?
Here is what you will need:

Sorry, not all the supplies are in the picture!

-Some uber cute fabric.  I used 2 different coordinating patterns.

-wreath {Mine is a small one that I got with 2 others at Salvation Army.}

-glue gun

-scrapbook paper

-ribbon, or string

-pearl beads

I did a horrible job at taking pictures of every step, so FORGIVE me!  What I did was rip long pieces of the main fabric about 2-3 inches wide, then wrapped it around the wreath.  I glued down the edges with my glue gun.

If you aren't sure how to make the felt flowers, go here.  She has some other darling felt flower tutorials on her blog as well.

Here's a close up of the fabric rosettes.  There are a bazillion tutorials out there for these.  One of my favorites is this one.

So of course after I made the flowers, I glued them on with my glue gun.  I also put some cute pearl beads in one of the flowers.  Cute touch, right?

I had the wreath all finished and hanging on my wall for a few weeks, but I just felt like it needed more.  So I made a cute little pennant banner to go on the wreath.  I chose the cute MM Sabrina paper for this.

I also used my Cricut to cut out the triangles, but you could easily do this by hand and punch holes in the corners with a small hole punch.

Without further Adieu, here is my Sabrina Pennant Wreath:

Lovely, right?  I am really pleased with how it turned out!

Be sure and stop by tomorrow for a Guest Post!!

Fall Burlap Wreath

Yesterday I spent my afternoon making this baby.
I have to be completely honest....I don't know if I LOVE it.

I saw Linda's pretty wreath over at Craftaholics and I knew I had to make one.
I think her's turned out better, but I am not going to put mine down:)  I am happy with it, I just think my flowers turned out HUGE!

When I was making it, I couldn't decide whether to do the Halloween or Fall look, so it kinda turned out BOTH.

I need your honest opinion.  Do you like it?  Be kind and gentle.  I am having PMS right now....
My kids loved it!  I should be happy about that, right?

I need peer approval please....

These firecrackers are to die for!  I want to make them and display them on my back deck!

Lovin' this wreath made with scrapbook paper!  ADORABLE!!

How cute are these??  I love it that they are simply made with craft paper, paper edging scissors and star punches!   Super EASY.

Spring Burlap Wreath

I have wanted to make a wreath like this ever since I saw one like it on Tatertots and Jello.  Jen's blog is fabulous!  You have to check it out (if you haven't already!).  She is very talented and has soooo many fun crafts and tutorials!

I tweaked my wreath a little, but I pretty much did the same thing she did.  I used coordinating fabric, Burlap, and for the centers I used buttons and sticky back pearls.  I used one of those $.50 cent wreaths I got from Salvation Army (yay!), fabric and burlap I already had, buttons and pearls that I already had.  So this wreath cost me about $1 to make.  I LOVE that price;) It just gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling....

Here is my take of the Spring Burlap Wreath:
This probably took me about 1 hour to make.  I cut all the circles at once, folding the fabric over several times, so I could cut out about 4 at once.
Please excuse my ugly walls.  I soooo need to paint them and I am planning on it this summer!
I absolutely Luuuurve this fabric!  I have had it for a while but just never used it until now.

Hopefully now that ALL of my SPRING decorations are out, the weather will actually be warm enough to wear a short sleeved t-shirt!  I can tell it's coming....
Have a great week;)

Some inspiring Fall and Halloween projects

This is my very last Halloween post...I promise!  I have to admit, I am getting a little sick of seeing Halloween decorations.  I think I am ready for Christmas!  I am working on more Thanksgiving decor as well.  Sometimes that holiday gets overlooked, don't you think?  Here are some pictures of all my Fall and Halloween crafts I  have made recently.  I love to decorate, so enjoy!

These blocks are one of my favorite decorations.  My teenage daughter carved the pumpkin.  Nice, huh?
Super easy paper tags.  I used cheap stamps, scalloped paper punch and ribbon!

This card was easy with a scalloped paper punch and I printed out the phrase.

I usually don't like skeletons, but these are kinda cute little guys.
Another easy card with scalloped paper punch and scrapbook paper.
These little matchbox paper pads are super easy to make.  Should I do a tutorial on how to make these?

Love these vintage Halloween images.  There is tons of free images on the Internet.
More lovely Halloween vintage images.  I got these from Etsy.
Simple 2 x 2 cards made with scrapbook paper and cheap Halloween stamp.
I made these with those foam stickers.  I think I got them at JoAnns.
These were simple to make with clear stamps I got at JoAnns.

The letters were made with cardstock, cut from my Cricut.  Old frame I spray painted.  Cute little spider sticker I have had forever!
I bought the grapevine wreath at Micheal's for $2.50.  Leaves were about $2.
Topiary I made with this tutorial.
Trick or Treat wreath I made with this tutorial.
I got this idea from several people's blogs.  Love how it turned out!
This is one of my favorites!  I bought the plaque at SA, sprayed it with black spray paint, and added paper, feather boa, and made the cute little ribbon rosette.  The phrase was a die cut I bought last year on clearance after Halloween!

Have a great Halloween!  I have some awesome Thanksgiving ideas coming soon.

Dirt Cheap Dollar Tree Halloween Wreath

You have probably seen a bazillion Halloween wreath ideas on the internet, but you have to check this one out!  It took me about 15 minutes to make.  It cost me $6 dollars to make and you can get everything at the Dollar Tree!  How convenient is that??

The complete Tutorial is here.

Here is my version of the wreath:

Notice the cute little black crow that my 8 yr. old wanted to add.  I think it looks great!
I love how easy and cute this wreath turned out!  I know I am not very good at posting tutorials, so you have to check out the link above and go to Homemade Mamas.  They have a great Blog!

Thanks for stopping by!

Check back tomorrow (Oct. 4th).  I am going to have another Giveaway!!  Can't wait to see what I put together.....see you then!

A new Fall Grapevine Wreath for my Porch

{If you would like to enter my Scrapbook stash giveaway, please scroll down or click here}  Hurry!!  It ends this Saturday September 18th:)

I am going CRAZY with the Fall crafts this week!  Yesterday I made such a lovely little Grapevine Fall Wreath.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  I had the cheap camera I have been using, so you will have to forgive me.  It still looks pretty dang cute, though....don't ya think?

I love how it turned out!

I bought an 18" grapevine wreath at Micheal's for $2.50, then I bought 3 pkgs of Fall leaves for $1 each.  You could use any old wreath you have laying around.  It doesn't have to be grapevine.  I just hot glued each little leaf on and Waaaala!  A lovely Fall wreath for my front porch.  You should try it!  Here is another picture of it:

I like this picture better, don't you?
Do something crafty this week!  It is a great stress reliever.....Have fun!!
