So Pretty in Pink Cuff Bracelet

I LOVE, LOVE these handmade cuff bracelets I have seen out there in blog land lately.  One of my favorites was an Antho knock off by Bev on her blog, Flamingo Toes .  She did a fabulous job!  She is my inspiration for this cuff bracelet I made the other day.

I came up with my own version of this bracelet.  I started with a blank metal cuff bracelet that I got at Michaels with my 40% off coupon.  Here is what I ended up with:
I adore pink!  I have plenty of outfits this will match with.  I am soooo excited to wear it:)  I just used what I had on hand, ribbon, pearl beads, buttons, rick rack, a small cameo, metal key, etc.

The ribbon I wrapped around the bracelet looks brown in this picture, but it is really a cream color.
I am lovin' my new Cuff bracelet!

What do you think??  What would you wear it with?

I am partying here:

Anthro inspired Pernilla Necklace

I have been so excited to show you this!!  Have you been over to Flamingo Toes Blog?  Well, this whole week she is making knock off's of Anthropologie's coolest looking necklaces!  She is super talented and does an awesome job:)

I have admired her knock off's for a while now, and this week I decided to try my own!  Here is what I did:
Not bad, huh?  I have never really made a necklace before, but this was relatively easy, especially with the directions Beverly at Flamingo Toes gave.  They were super easy to follow!
My teenage daughter makes jewelry, so we already had all of these beads.  I had to buy the chain, but got it 40% off at Micheal's.  Great deal!!

Flamingo Toes is also giving away all of the necklaces she is making this week!  I so want to win one!!  Go give one a try this week;)

I am linking to these parties:

Back to School Week and How about a GIVEAWAY!!

Holy Cow!   I have to admit I have been excited for school to start for about a month, not only for my kids to go back (yes, I need some ALONE time:)  but I am going back to school as well!  I can't wait:)

I haven't been to school since....ummm.....1995!  I know it's been a while.  That's about when my oldest was about a year, and I decided to put it off for a few years.  Hello...15 years later!  I am really nervous, but excited at the same time.  One thing that scares me is that I am going to be the oldest in my class!

Do you ever have those re-occuring  nightmares that you forget to go to class?  I always have a dream that I forget my locker combination!

I would love to hear your comments about your school dreams (or nightmare!) experiences.   Are any of you going back to school?  I want to know if there is anyone out there like me!

Another change with me is I am closing my Etsy shops, so I can spend more time with school work and my family.....soooo in order for me to not have so much STUFF in my craft room (and maintain a good marriage), I am going to give it away, to YOU,  My lovely readers!!

Beginning Tuesday September 7th, after I get my kids off to school, I am going to post a giveaway on my blog every month.  They are going to be mostly scrapbook stuff, handmade cards, Tags, and even jewelry!  It's gonna be awesome....trust me!!
Here is some examples of what you can win...yummy, huh?

Check back Tuesday to see what goodies I have to giveaway.  You WON'T be disappointed!!

New Etsy Shop- Karisma's Jewelry and Gifts!!

I just wanted to let everyone one how excited I am about opening my NEW Etsy shop!!  I have been making lots of rings, necklaces etc. for friends and family and I have really enjoyed making them, so I thought.....why not open another shop?  It's not like my life is not busy enough as it is...he he!

My 15 (almost 16....yikes!) year old daughter makes adorable earrings and she is trying to earn money to go to San Francisco with her Choir at school, so I have listed some of her earrings as well under the section Nat's fundraiser earrings.  I hope you all will go check them out.  She does a great job!!  I will include some pictures here of some of them.

I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving!  I have so much to be thankful for....especially healthy kids, a home that's paid off and no debt!  Thank goodness for this, since my hubby is out of a job right now.

We have been so blessed though and I am truly thankful for our life together!

Featuring Etsy Shop: Jamie's Jewels

This week I am featuring a new and absolutely beautiful shop on Etsy called Jamie's Jewels. She is a SAHM from the East Coast and opened shop in March of 2009. She sells all kinds of fabulous necklace, bracelets and earrings. I was so excited when I found her shop! It amazes me how these talented people make this beautiful jewelry!
I love each of the names she gives her jewelry pieces. You can find out more about her by reading the description of each piece. If you like something that has already sold....no problem, because most of her items can be recreated!
Check out one of my favorite necklaces called
"Sense and Sensibility"! Go check out her shop! www.jayval.etsy.com

Featuring Etsy Shop: Mystic Wind

There are a lot of jewelry shops on Etsy, but this one stands out to me as one that has a great selection, good quality and beautiful jewelry! This shop is called Mystic Wynd. You have to go check it out. Go read Karen's profile. It is very interesting. The jewelry is gorgeous!
Karen's shop opened in October of 2008. She grew up in Chicago, Ilinois, but is now living in Scottsdale Arizona. Her passion is jewelry and you can tell! They are simply lovely. This piece of medieval jewelry is one of my favorites!
