But then I had an epiphany (what is that?), "I could give my readers a look into my family. Are you even interested? I have 3 kids. My daughter is 17, my son is 15 and my little girl is 10. They are growing so dang fast. I can't believe I will be loosing one this Fall. It frightens me. Seriously.
But I digress....I am not going to tell you about my 17 yr. old today. I want to tell you about my 15 yr. old. He is SO. DANG. CUTE. I just love him. Of course I do, he is my son. But he is REALLY a good kid. No Kidding.
Here is a look at him. I took this picture about a week ago:
Yep, this is my little Eagle Scout.
I am such a proud Momma.
I have to be honest here. I really didn't have much to do with the fact that he earned his Eagle. His Dad helped him A LOT. I helped him a teensy weensy bit.
I kind of feel foolish.
The Mom's are supposed to be the ones to push their boys, right? Well I am here to tell you I did not. He wanted it and at times needed pushing and his Dad mostly did it. No I get all the credit at the Eagle Court of Honor. I think I am going to stand up and say, "Umm, his Dad is the one that should get all the credit!"
I don't know if I really have the guts to do that, but I am going to feel a little guilty. Too late now. I AM planning the Court of Honor. I ordered the invitations, took the picture, I will also make a scrapbook for him, and order a cake from Costco. That's something, right?
Sorry if I am rattling on a little too much about this. Can you tell I like to torture myself with guilty feelings?
I am so proud of this young man. He is such a good kid. All my kids are. I don't know what I did to deserve them, because I was the child from H- - -. No kidding. I put my parents through the fiery furnace. But I think I turned out pretty good.
I love my kiddos, and I just wanted to share a little about them. Here is a nice picture of this same son when he was a little guy:
I love this guy! Isn't he the cutest? I wish I could show you a picture of when he was a baby, but I would have to scan the pictures, because you know that was before digital cameras! Oh, I feel old:)
Have a great Sunday!!
Awww, what a sweet post!
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie! This is such a great idea for a post. Have a very happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Eagle Scout. That is quite an accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn't feel foolish, there's a lot more involved in becoming an Eagle Scout than passing off merit badges. You had a big role in raising him to be the nice young man that he is. :) What a great kid!
ReplyDeletewow - what a handsome young man you have there. I have 2 girls in scouts and I sure hope they decide to stay in for that long.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and for leaving me a comment. Have a great week.

I loved hearing about your life and your kids! You have such a cute family! I think a cake and scrapbook are way supportive! It shows the reward for the hard effort your son put in to get his eagle scout! way to go!
