I Love you Banner {Tutorial}

 Last week I decided I needed a new banner to hang in my kitchen area.  Here is what I came up with!

I forgot to take a picture of the supplies, so here is a list:

-Red Cardstock
-white heart doilies {I used 8}
-fabric remnants {I used 17 strips}
-chalk ink pad
-Bakers Twine
-hole punch
-some kind of die cute machine {or you could cut by hand}
-glue
I used my Cricut machine to cut out the hearts and letters.
You could easily cut these out by hand.  I used Doodletype cartridge for the letters and the hearts.

I just had the Cricut cut out the red hearts a little bigger than the doilies.  I also cut out 3 different sizes of the small hearts to separate the words I. Love. You.

I was going to separate each letter with the small hearts dangling from Bakers Twine, but then I decided to hang them between each word instead.  I glued on the doilies and letters with good ol' Elmers glue.

I inked the edges of the white hearts with my Charcoal black chalk ink.  I use this chalk ink ALL the time!

Here's a close up of the hearts with the letters before I glued them down.   I used Elmers glue to glue them down.

I am so bad at taking pictures of banners.  It's so awkward and I can never really get the whole banner in the picture.  Why is that??

For the fabric strips I just ripped long strips, then cut them into shorter strips.  I tied 3 in between each letter.

 I strung everything on some red and white Bakers Twine.  LOVE that stuff!   Here is a great place to buy it.

And there it is!  It looks cute in my kitchen:)  Simple, cheap and easy to make.

See you tomorrow at Friday Frolic!
